Looking to add some extra storage or just simply a special touch to your room then this project is for you.
Our floating shelf should be the easiest shelf you'll ever install
Here is what you'll need to buy for this project:
Timber-Link Slab (you can choose either our square edge slabs or live edge slabs) These are available in 4', 6', 8' lengths.
HD 2.5" pocket hole screws
A partner to help you.
Here are the tools you'll need:
HD Impact driver bit
Omnia Natural Wood Oil
Find the studs on your wall so you can ensure the pocket hole screws are inserted into the stud for strength.
Make sure you mark where the studs are so you can align the holes on the Timber-Link slab.
We recommend finishing the slab with our Omnia natural wood oil prior to installing it on the wall. We currently have 12 colours available including Natural.
You can find a quick how to video on how to use our oils in our How To Video tab.
Next you'll need your partner to help hold up the shelf for you. Put the level on top of the shelf to make sure your shelf is level.
Now you will actually install the shelf onto the wall. Ensure your partner holds the shelf while you insert your HD 2.5" Pocket Hole screws.
And that's it you're done.
We installed 3 shelves for our boardroom and here is the finished project.
Want to add some character to your space with a unique end table, then this project is for you.
Here's what you'll need to buy:
Pine Slab 2'
15" Steel Furniture Legs
Omnia Natural Wood Oil
Sander + 220 / 120 grit sandpaper
Philips Screwdriver / Impact
This project is just about as easy as you can get. In total it should take you around 30 mins.
The first step is to sand your slab. We used a 220 grit sandpaper to create a very smooth surface.
The next step is to coat your poject with our Omnia Natural wood oil. We actually chose our Natural colour for this project since we loved the look of the knots on this slab and just wanted to enhance and preserve the look of them.
Can you see the difference? We just love the natural look of this slab. The oil also helps to preserve the bark and makes it rock hard so you can enjoy it for years to come.
All this took was of course one single coat. Please check out our Omnia oil video /blog post in order to get all the details of how to apply our oils.
The last step in this project is installing the legs.
We went a little crazy on this project and decided to paint them turquoise.
Any paint recommended for metal will do just fine.
We decided to use a chalk paint finish paint on these. We applied two coats.
We recommend utilizing the instructions provided on the packaging of your paint in order to finish the legs since each paint is different.
Now it's time to install the legs onto the slab.
Simply use your screwdriver or impact to install them. There are only 8 screws to install.
